Between the two of us, we have over 25 years in dogs. Bud has extensive history with retrievers, excelling in obedience, field work, and breeding. Pam had her first Sheltie in 1990, and in 2016 Bud and Pam met Myra Harrison of Whiteoak Shelties, who has helped mentor them in the Sheltie world. Pam loves showing our dogs in AKC and UKC conformation, but her true love is partnering with one of our dogs to do Therapy Dog work at Cincinnati Children's Hospital.
This website is still under construction. Please reach out to us for any additional information.
We breed our Shelties to the AKC breed standard, and health test all of our dogs. We believe that the temperament of your dog should be friendly and approachable, which isn't always easy to get. Temperament without a healthy dog is useless so rest assured we are selective about who we breed.
Bud is retired and keeps himself busy raising chickens and bees as well as dogs. Pam always loved Shelties, and
Bud talked her into doing AKC Conformation about seven years ago. We've met so many amazing Sheltie people along the way who have become close friends. If we don't have what you're looking for, we can offer a referral to other local breeders.
Our youngest daughter has complex medical issues and she and Pam realized how much impact a visit from a friendly dog can have when you're in the hospital. After seeing dogs lift our daughter's spirit, Pam vowed to have a volunteer therapy dog if we ever had the right dog. Scout and Margo are both Therapy Dogs at Cincinnati Children's Hospital. and we're hoping Margo's daughter June will follow in their path when she gets a bit older. Margo typically has a therapy gig about once a week at the hospital.
We want all of our dogs be known for their personality, even if it's not in a conformation ring or a therapy visit.
We raise all puppies in our home and on our farm, and expose them to noises, experiences, and socialization from day one. They always have a home here if your situation changes, and we are available for support and mentoring at any time.
Cedarbreaks Gone with the Wind (Scarlett)
Scarlett is a 6 year old sable female. She was our Covid puppy, so she didn't get used to going to dog shows, and doesn't enjoy them. She is a beautiful, friendly girl. She gets along well with other dogs and loves to run in the yard. She is up to date on all vaccines and vet visits, and has had genetic testing completed.
